Changes Are Comin’…..Other Things Seem To Never Change
It pains me to have to write this post. In fact it has pained me for some time as evidenced by the fact that I haven’t posted an update in so long. Sometimes it’s that I feel there is not really anything anything interesting to post. But most of the time it is just that I am so busy and time is so precious that I feel it a wasteful to sit down here and write. For the last three years or so I managed a website separate from this one, a Drudge-like news page dedicated solely to border, immigration and homeland security issues. I was very time consuming and it’s purpose was to maybe help others to be informed without them have to peruse the countless websites I was going to on a daily basis anyway. While I allowed a few advertisements I did not have the site up to make a profit. Indeed it costed me a great deal of money and more importantly time. In a matter of days the C1 Border News site will be taken down and what little traffic it receives will be redirected back to this one. I will keep this site, the original Charlie Uno blog, up for the foreseeable future. I will continue to post links to what I feel are pertinent articles from time to time and on rare occasions make a border update as well. A “Do It Yourself” post and link is provided on the right of this page for those of you who might have the time and inclination to hit some of the sites I used to go to to keep the border news site up to date. These were not the only sites I visited but I also gleaned info from mainstream news as well as conservative radio and liberal stations. It began to detract from my border missions and overall preparedness. I will continue to stay informed but the bulk of any any info you might want, as well as the ability to discern what is truth and what is propaganda or “fake news,” is up to you. I wish you well and good luck and thank all of you who visited the C1 Border News site and have continued to visit this original blog all these many years.
I continue to patrol the porous southern frontier. Sometimes solo. Sometimes with my brother Beast. Sometimes with K9 #3.
To a man all the Border Patrol Agents we encounter are glad to see us and welcome seasoned border operators as extra eyes and ears for them…….well, with one “bold” exception:
We patrol during the day and are still amazed by the holes in homeland security that remain much the same as they did when I first began my border watch in 2005
Sometimes we patrol at night
Sometimes we get there a little too early
Sometimes its a little too late
Sometimes you just have to say WTF???
While the news site will go away we will not. Undaunted we will continue to patrol. Join us on the border if you want to see for yourself how insecure the homeland remains.
While the bureaucrats delay and distract we will continue to observe and report.
The news site will go away
But I’ll be back.
