A Date Which Will Live In Infamy…….

 December 7, 1941

Click the date for the history, since it seems so many have forgotten. In addition to the famous quote in the title above, there is another quote from that infamous day.

“I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”-It is attributed to the Japanese admiral Isoroku Yamamoto but there is no actual documentation that he really said it.

Unfortunately the giant he is referring to has not only fallen fast asleep once more, but appears to have slipped into a deep coma.

“Somewhere a True Believer is training to kill you. He is training with minimal food or water, in austere conditions, training day and night. The only thing clean on him is his weapon and he made his web gear. He doesn’t worry about what workout to do – his ruck weighs what it weighs, his runs end when the enemy stops chasing him. This True Believer is not concerned about ‘how hard it is;’ he knows either he wins or dies. He doesn’t go home at 17:00, he is home.
He knows only The Cause.

Still want to quit?”

I sure wish I knew who to credit with the inspirational paragraph above. I would like to thank that writer for the reminder and the motivation.

Now if you will excuse me, I must return to some training of my own.
